In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, which occurred from February 10th to 14th, Alliance Automotive Group dedicated the week to educating their colleagues about their comprehensive apprenticeship programs. These programs are designed to enhance skills and promote career advancement for both new recruits and current team members.

With apprenticeships available throughout the UK, Alliance Automotive Group offer a range of qualifications that cater to various career paths and aspirations. Their apprenticeship programs stretch from Level 2 qualifications, equivalent to GCSE level, all the way up to Level 7, which is equivalent to a Master’s Degree.

This initiative presents an incredible opportunity for Alliance Automotive Group employees to gain valuable qualifications while also advancing their careers.

Numerous colleagues within Alliance Automotive Group have already completed or are currently enrolled in various apprenticeship programs. Their success stories were highlighted throughout the week to inspire others to take advantage of these offerings.

Carl Walker, Group Quality and Audit, who is currently undertaking his Internal Audit Practitioner apprenticeships said: “Having joined the Health & Safety and Quality team more than several years ago, I have strived to continually develop my personal skill set within the business. I am currently doing the ‘Internal Audit Practitioner Level 4’ apprentice scheme, in which I have gained a great deal of knowledge about all aspects of internal auditing.

As part of the scheme, I was required to re-sit both my GCSE English & Maths exams, which I am glad to say I managed to pass and achieved certificates, which has led me to achieve my designation ’IACERT’ in Internal Audit and Business Risk. Along with this I have also recently completed ‘Managing Safely’ (IOSH) Institution of Occupational Safety & Health approved course successfully, adding to my continual personal development within the business.”

National Apprenticeship Week is celebrated annually at Alliance Automotive Group, they believe in the significant importance of advancing colleagues through their learning and development.

Kelsey Kerr, Group Learning and Development Manager commented: “Apprenticeships offer our employees a structured and practical approach to learning, combining hands-on experience with formal education.

They play a vital role in developing our workforce and provide a clear pathway for career progression. With a whole host of courses available, our employees have the opportunity to gain specialised skills, build confidence in the roles and contribute to the long-term success of their careers and our business.”
