NAPA Auto Parts UK and Ireland were honoured to sponsor the second annual Recognition of Excellence in Policing Awards held at Sandy Park on Friday, June 13th. The event brought together over 200 guests, including many divisions of the Devon and Cornwall Police and award recipients, for an inspiring afternoon celebrating outstanding dedication and service.

19 well-deserved awards were presented to 37 exceptional recipients in recognition of their commitment to policing and community safety. This important event, made possible solely through sponsorship such as that from NAPA Auto Parts, highlights the dedication of Devon and Cornwall Police members operating without the use of public funds.

NAPA Auto Parts had the privilege of sponsoring and presenting the ‘Patrol Officer of the Year’ award which was awarded to PC Nicola (Nicky) Page, who quickly earned the nickname “The Yorkshire Terrier” for her relentless pursuit of leads. Nicky also supports colleagues through the Amber Peer support group for those experiencing domestic abuse and has assisted the force in multiple ways beyond patrol duties. Throughout her 27 years of service, Nicky has exemplified perseverance, courage, humility, professionalism, integrity, and self-discipline, and has continued to do so through recent health issues. Respected and admired by all, she embodies the highest standards of policing and serves as a role model for officers across the force.

Lewis Selby, NAPA Auto Parts Managing Director, said: NAPA Auto Parts are proud to support this celebration of excellence and bravery within the police force. Devon and Cornwall Police are one of our valued customers, and this event enabled us to support an incredible individual whilst engaging in meaningful conversations with the local community. People like Nicky and her commitment not only to her duties but also to supporting her colleagues highlights the compassionate and multi-faceted role that officers embody every day. We are proud to play a role in supporting these dedicated officers to do their jobs by keeping them safely on the roads.”
