Our History


2024

AAG launched its newly aligned corporate and logistics rebranding strategy, streamlining the company’s visual identity across its operations in our multiple European countries.

In the UK & Ireland, distribution functions became Alliance Automotive Logistics, and our store brands aligned to NAPA Auto Parts.

2022

NAPA exploded across the United Kingdom in 2022 with the formation of NAPA Racing UK, representing a significant sponsorship investment in the British Touring Car Championship and others. It was followed with the introduction of NAPA Truck, the commercial vehicle product portfolio, and NexDrive, the EV specialist garage network powered by NAPA.

2020 – 2023

The group expands with more acquisitions including the strategic acquisitions of Tayna Batteries, J&S, CAAR, and Parts in Motion.

2019

NAPA was introduced into the United Kingdom and France by AAG with the initial product launches of coil springs, shock absorbers, rotating electrics, and batteries. This was followed by the launch of Carlyle Tools, the workshop tools and equipment brand, in 2020.

2018

AAG acquires Platinum International

2017

Genuine Parts Company (GPC) acquires Alliance Automotive Group.

2016

FPS Distribution Ltd, Apec and BTN were acquired by AAG.

2015

United Aftermarket Network (UAN), a network of independent distributors is added to AAG’s market position in the UK.

2008-2011

The business continued to expand through various acquisitions in the UK.

1997

AAG acquired GROUPAUTO UK which formed the foundation stone of its UK operations.

1989

Alliance Automotive Group was founded with the acquisition of a small distributor in the west of France.
