Alliance Automotive Group UK and Ireland (AAG) today announces the forthcoming retirement of John Coombes, who will step down from his full-time position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the end of this year.
John joined AAG in January 2001, serving a remarkable 24 years as CFO for the UK and Ireland, while also fulfilling the role of Group Treasurer for Alliance Automotive Group Europe. As a key member of the UK and Ireland leadership team, John has played an instrumental role in driving the company’s growth and development. His leadership and expertise have been critical in completing over 100 acquisitions during his tenure, significantly contributing to AAG’s strategic success and long-term growth.
Steve Richardson, Managing Director at Alliance Automotive Group UK and Ireland said: “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to John for his dedicated service. His efforts have undoubtedly supported the execution of our strategic goals, building a solid foundation for the continued growth of the business. Whilst I wish John a wonderful and well-deserved retirement, I’m also pleased to share that John will continue to work part-time on some finance-related projects for the group.”.
As John transitions to this part-time role, AAG are delighted to welcome Cade Galvin to the UK Executive Committee, effective 1st November, as he assumes the role as UK and Ireland CFO. Cade joined AAG in 2015, bringing extensive knowledge and experience to the business. He has the full confidence and support of the leadership team as they look forward to his continued contributions to the groups ongoing success.
